Malabar Black Pepper
Tellicherry grade, sun-dried on the estate. Sharp heat with a pine finish.
We buy whole spice direct from twenty-two grower families across Kerala, Rajasthan and the Nilgiris, then grind to order in Coimbatore. Nothing sits in a warehouse for a year.
Fresh milling dates on every jar. If a spice is out, it is because the harvest ended, not because we are restocking from a broker.
Tellicherry grade, sun-dried on the estate. Sharp heat with a pine finish.
4.8% curcumin on the latest lot. Ground cold so the colour holds.
Whole dried pods, 35,000 SHU. Deep red without any added colour.
Bold-grade pods, hand sorted. New lot lands after the October picking.
Faridale started when our founder spent a season in Wayanad and watched pepper leave the estate at Rs 340 a kilo, then found the same lot retailing at eleven times that in a Bengaluru store. Almost none of the difference had reached the farm.
So we do the boring version. We contract directly, agree the price before harvest, pay half up front, and publish the farm-gate rate on every jar. It makes us slower and more expensive than a brand buying at auction. It also means the pepper in your grinder was on a plant nine weeks ago.
Pulled from verified order reviews. We do not edit them for length.
“Opened the pepper jar and my whole kitchen smelled of it. I have been buying supermarket pepper for years and genuinely did not know it was supposed to do that.”

Verified buyer · Bengaluru“Spices are excellent. Cardamom went out of stock before I could reorder and it was gone for two months, so plan ahead if you cook with it a lot.”
